For nearly two decades, Ace in the City (Ace), operated as a nonprofit dedicated to furthering belonging for youth through a variety of programs and services.
In 2019, as Ace sought permanent physical space for its operations, it partnered with Aldrich Presbyterian Church to repurpose over 7,000 square feet in its basement. This reimagined space, which is known as the Center of Belonging (CoB), served as the impetus for the organization to evolve into Flourish Placemaking Collective (Flourish).
The CoB provides affordable office space for nonprofits and neighbors, sanctuary space for several congregations, and is home to the Flourish Food Market. The market is Minnesota’s first plant-based food shelf and provides access to free and healthy foods for approximately 10,000 people annually.
Recently, Flourish acquired the entire building and, with it, an opportunity to amplify the flourishing of dozens of community organizations, groups, and neighbors by providing access to reclaimed and repurposed space that can meet current community needs.
Flourish Placemaking Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) and all donations are fully tax deductible. Our EIN is 94-3442758. Donations made via check can be mailed to:
